A message to all Chicago area Alabama alumni and fans from Laurel Stepp:
I am putting on my walking shoes to raise money in the fight against multiple sclerosis by participating in Walk MS 2009, Chicago Lakefront location on May 3 and hope you will put on your walking shoes as well. This year we created the Stepp-Bama team in order to get our Chicago alumni involved in the Walk MS event. If you cannot join us on Sunday, May 3 it would mean a lot to me, and the 20,000 Illinois residents living with multiple sclerosis, if you would consider making a donation on my behalf to help me accomplish this important goal.
Your donation will make it possible for the Greater Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to provide programs and services for people with multiple sclerosis while also funding important research that will bring us closer to a cure for this chronic disease.
It is faster and easier than ever to support this great cause – you can make a tax-deductible donation online simply by clicking on the link at the bottom of this message. Please check out my personal page so you can see why I’m walking in this important event on May 3, 2009. After you make a donation, look for your name scrolling in the fundraising honor roll. You can be a part of joining the movement against multiple sclerosis!
I know with the economy in its current state that you might not be able to donate much, but $10 can go a long way. So if you can logon today and donate $10 to the Stepp-Bama team!
As we begin our 2009-2010 year, we would like to extend an invitation to all Chicago area alumni to join our board to help steer the direction of our association. The time commitment is minimal so please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would be interested in helping out or charing a specific committee.
The University of Alabama will be joining a college fair a the De La Salle Institute on March 18 from 11:00 AM-2:30 PM. We are currently looking for local individuals to represent our university at the event. Please comment or email us at email@example.com for more information.
