Student recruitment – Bethany Forrest is the University’s Chicago-area student recruiter, working to attract the Midwest’s finest students to Alabama. She’s looking for support in two ways:

(1) Assist her at college fairs at local (mostly suburban) high schools. The next one is April 18 in Naperville.

(2) Bethany is looking to host a reception for prospective students. If you belong to a country club, and would be willing to find out if a conference or small banquet room would be available for an event like this, she’d love your help. Please contact Bethany at to help out with student recruitment.

Email to volunteer.

We would also like to welcome Paul Brown as our newest board member in the recently created position of Membership. Paul brings a wealth of knowledge from his time living in Birmingham and helping that chapter.

Long-time Vice President, John Romano, is moving to Virginia this summer. Laura Jansen is stepping in as VP.

Also, we need a Chapter Secretary – What are the responsibilities, you ask? Mostly attend a few meetings per year and take notes, write emails like this one (or proofread the ones that others write), and brainstorm new ideas for the chapter. It’s easy and fun. If you’ve been looking to help out, this is a perfect opportunity.
