Mission

Our mission is to organize and provide an opportunity for Alabama alumni, family, and friends to find one another, gather together, share our experiences, and pool our resources. We hope to accomplish this though various meetings, sports viewing parties, and other social events. Our chapter also charges itself with welcoming out of town visitors into our slice of Chicago-style southern hospitality.

Members

We currently have 66 due-paying members and a contact list numbering over 300 Chicago-area residents. Our members have proven through the years that they are excited to participate in intramural sporting and networking events in the Chicago area.

Leadership

Our leadership positions are dedicated volunteers striving to ensure the growth and development of the Chicago-area chapter. We welcome all suggestions towards improving our chapter, and we encourage all of our members contribute what gifts they can share towards improving our fellowship.

Dues

We aim to ease the financial burden to all of the alumni, friends, and family who participate in our events by requesting minimal annual dues of $20 for an individual or $25 for a family. These funds are used to arrange guest speakers, various aspects of our administration and organization, and other events (traveling to near-by games, social dinners, etc…). Our fiscal year begins April 1 (please contact us to discuss prorated membership fees).

Goals

With the accumulation of more membership dues, we hope to be able to endow a scholarship to help a deserving Chicago area student attend our great University.

• As membership continues to grow, we will look to organize volunteer outings (Habitat, Food Service, etc…).

• To be able to help host and organize events for various Alabama alumni speaking engagements.

We always seek individuals that can volunteer their time to facilitate the mission and goals of the chapter, please contact an officer if you would like to help.

Note: We encourage members to pick up their shirts at the Houndstooth or Another Round during events or watch parties whenever possible. Given our resources it is difficult to mail out each order for memberships. Our policy is to mail shirts at the end of the season for anybody who isn’t able to get to one of the bars.
